The last decent Guitar Hero title - and the best, too Mar 23, 2010
When they released this version, I thought they could not get any better than this. And I guess I was right, it's been downhill since then!
The guitar is the best from all the releases (although noisier than the newer ones), the setlist is perfect.
And the game engine is the only good one for the wii. All later releases suffers from drops in frame rate and impossibly small fonts on the screen, probably a BAD port from the xbox360 release.
I recommend this above all other guitar hero releases available for the wii without a blink.
Oh by the way: it is the most difficult one (except for the metallica one, of course)

I don't know about you or your family, but we only found about 12 songs to choose from. I actually had to declare some of the songs off-limits to my kids because they are terrible (lyrics/message, etc.). This is not nearly as family friendly as Band Hero. I think this game was intended for the college dudes to play in the dorms. I'm glad I found this in the bargain bin, otherwise I would be even more disappointed.

Really enjoyed this game. However I bought it after GH4, World Tour, so I noticed the subtle differences. I find the song list on GH4 is a little better. The guitar for this game does not have a star power button and when you tilt the guitar up for star power it doesn't register unless you are extremely exaggerated with that movement. It may be because this guitar is smaller than the guitar for GH4. Otherwise, the game arrived on time, in excellent condition, and has some great songs.

My 12 year old can't put this down and I like most of the music. The whammy bar didn't want to work every time the first day but it's been fine ever since, don't know? Overall I'd give it a good rating.
