2Falling apart at the seams.   Jul 20, 2008
This slide was expensive and yet we were certain it would be a multi-summer investment for our one ten year old child. However, we now doubt that we will get more than one season out of it. We have used it for one and a half months with only one ten year old girl playing on it intermittently and already it is splitting at the seams in multiple places and has a hole that continues to grow at the entry to the green tunnel. Naturally, our return policy has lapsed and we have wasted a lot of money on an inferior product. I see several complaints here of the same nature and all I can say is buyer beware. Your money would be better spent on seasonal water park tickets!

1Not a "blast" after all.... returned back to store!  Jul 20, 2008
We bought this for our 3 boys, and were really excited about it, but the honeymoon didn't last long.

My major complaints are the design - this could have been made MUCH more energy efficient! We have a well (a fairly new one at that, a GOOD one) but it would go dry about an hour or so after running this - so the boys barely got started playing and their fun was over (not to mention we now have no water running in the house until the well revives itself).

My other major complaint is the fact that this thing sucks down SO much power and can not stay inflated after every use. What a waste of power AND water... since the second you turn the blower off, the whole thing deflates and you lose all the water you just took forever to collect. So the process starts ALL over again once you decide to turn it back on...

I think this is a HUGE waste of energy AND water - were they thinking of the environment when they made this?

They needed to design this so the slide would stay inflated as long as you have it set up (maybe the blower could be used initially to set it up, almost like a blow up mattress), and the water stays in it so you don't waste all that water.

My other annoyance was the canon that fires the water constantly. I would have preferred the option to turn that off... for a few reasons. My boys got in this thing and the first thing they did was fight constantly because one didn't want to be squirted (and anyone too close who gets it in the face (although there is a warning stating not to do this) could get really "stung"). Not to mention my little one who wanted to just play in the pool area (and although it says 5 and up, there's no reason a 2 yr old can't play in the pool area) had to dodge that canon constantly.

So bottom line for us - this was a waste of money, not worth my boys' disappointment from having to return it, and harsh for the environment. Now I understand some don't have a well so losing the water may not be as much an issue but anyone "green" conscious would/should be bothered that it wastes SO much water and energy.

2Seam probelems too  Jul 16, 2008
We bought the Jungle Blast (cheaper price than what's posted now) Within a day, the seam along the green tunnel of curved slide split. So my husband sewed the small hole. 2nd usuage it ripped again on other side, fixed that. On fourth usuage it really came apart so we now are working on getting a replacement. It was fun while it lasted even us parents loved it. Durability not so hot! Storing it is a major issue because it doesn't fit in the red bag nor box. We have had a hard time getting manufacturer to answer about fixing it. Manuafacturer (Toy Quest)hard to reach for any answers. Keep a copy of everything!

5Great Fun!!  Jul 08, 2008
We bought this for my 3 yr old and 12 year old. We have been using it since Apirl, and They use it all the time and really love it. No problems with the seams, we just follow the weight limit for the slides, and take good care of it. It is a pain to take down because you have to let it dry, but what else can you expect with a toy this big.Overall it was a great investment. Thanks!

2falling apart at the seams  Jun 28, 2008
We waited to write a review because I too had a previous experience with banzai water slides that was less than pleasurable. We also figured after a few years they would have worked out the kinks in their durability. This water slide is so much fun but we have used it a total of four times and have a seam where the green "tunnel" part is completely split open, I could play basketball through the hole it is so big. I haven't called them yet and replacement will likely take the rest of the summer, as I live in Michigan and summer is short. I figured it would only last one season and we didn't even get close to that. I am really ready to go commercial after this one.
